What do you ensure you always do before a race?

Dave Kraige, “Check that the right car setup is loaded.  Check fuel calculations.  Set placeholder services for your first pit stop.  Make sure the delta display is set right; otherwise I don’t know if I’m fast or not!

James Legault, “I’m 66. Hitting the head before a driving stint is priority #1!”

Matthew Kuekes, “Go to the restroom! Make sure all my inputs (steering, pedals) are hooked up and registering as expected. Load the Race Setup after qually!”

What do you ensure you always do before a race?

Chris Walsh, “Always know your fuel strategy, if you plan to stop, triple check calculations and know the max you need and the min you need.  Run a full race stint, understand tire wear and if you will need to take them in the race.  Practice in the hardest conditions and know how to find that extra pace for qualifying.   Don’t drink to much water either.”

Rafael Amorim, “I always like to check my general setup and more specifically fuel load and brake bias.”

Karl Bocchieri, “One race last season my computer crashed just as I was signing on, got everything back but didn’t even qualify and had a terrible race.  Now I sign on and make sure the equipment is working well before the race.”

Tyler Cooke, “I listen to some pump-up music, go over setup with the engineer, and focus on what I need to do to get the best result. A lot of times I am watching the broadcast and time charts to see how the car is doing throughout the stint and when the fall off starts. Knowing that information can help with finishing the race.”
