Announcing PCA Pro GT3 Cup Racing. Starting in Q1 2022, this new league brings together the best drivers who competed in PCA Sim Racing’s Pro Class in its racing Series.

PCA Pro GT3 Cup RacingTo be clear, PCA Pro GT3 Cup Racing is not a new class, but it is a new league for the best drivers in PCA Pro Class and races run at the most realistic settings iRacing has to offer.

And you won’t be racing only against PCA Pro sim racers. You will be competing in wheel-to-wheel competition with actual Pro GT3 Cup drivers from such notable teams as 311RS and Hardpoint Motorsports. Additional participating teams will be announced soon.

Sponsored by PENDING, the same sponsor as our Series PCA Pro Class events, this will be a high-exposure league. Perhaps an opportunity to attend races with teams and work with them.

Invitational Entry

The first initial seed for the 2022 PCA Pro GT3 Cup Racing Series includes:

  • Trophied podium drivers from previous national PCA Pro Series 1-7
  • The top 10 drivers from PCA National Pro Series 6 and 7
  • Porsche Carrera Cup North America Team Drivers
  • Porsche Carrera Cup North America Team Junior Drivers
  • Porsche Carrera Cup North America Team Development Drivers
  • Celebrity Guest Participants

All drivers must have their own iRacing account, PCA membership in good standing, and apply to the PCA Sim Racing League. You will get an invite to the League through iRacing. Drivers already a participant in PCA Sim Racing League do not need to re-register.

Our schedule follows the 2022 Porsche Carrera Cup North America racing season. Our events will be Thursdays, just prior to the actual events. All events will be two races of 40 minutes each.

Event Format

PCA Pro GT3 Cup Racing will offer events that are as close to the actual events as iRacing can provide. This is important due to two reasons. First, teams will be using our events to practice for the actual races. Secondly, we want to offer the most successful PCA Sim Racing PCA Pro’s an opportunity to race in a no-limits series. Not everyone in PCA Pro class can join. You have to earn your way into these racing events.

Our format is:

  • Open track: 30 minutes
  • Qualifying: 35 minutes open qualifying session.
  • Race 1: Gridded by qualifying time.
  • Race 2: Uses fastest race 1 lap, or second-fastest qualifying lap

This is the same format and conditions the real series uses.

Weekly Extended Practice Sessions

Practice sessions will be held every Thursday evening for 4 hours starting at 8 PM Eastern / 5 PM Pacific. The first practice is Thursday, January 13th.

We will use the latest addition to the iRacing Porsche stable, the Porsche  911 GT3 Cup (992) with (of course!) open setups.

The weather will be active and set to the day and time of the actual race at the location of the track.

Qualification for the 2023 Series

Drivers need to be top 10 in PCA Pro of Series 8 (March-April 2022), Series 9 (September-October 2022) or top 10 in the 2022 PCA Pro GT3 Cup Racing to be invited for 2023.

Special Discord and iRacing Access

Those of you who are qualified will receive access to the private Discord area on PCA Sim Racing and an invitation for the new iRacing league. Watch for your invites!
