Sage SIM advice from fellow PCA Sim Racers!

by Dean Chapman, Northern New Jersey Region PCA

What do you ensure you always do before a race?

Dave Kraige, “Check that the right car setup is loaded.  Check fuel calculations.  Set placeholder services for your first pit stop.  Make sure the delta display is set right; otherwise I don’t know if I’m fast or not!

James Legault, “I’m 66. Hitting the head before a driving stint is priority #1!”

Matthew Kuekes, “Go to the restroom! Make sure all my inputs (steering, pedals) are hooked up and registering as expected. Load the Race Setup after qually!”

Some sensible advice from Major Chris Walsh!

by Dean Chapman, Northern New Jersey Region PCA

What do you ensure you always do before a race?

Chris Walsh, “Always know your fuel strategy, if you plan to stop, triple check calculations and know the max you need and the min you need.  Run a full race stint, understand tire wear and if you will need to take them in the race.  Practice in the hardest conditions and know how to find that extra pace for qualifying.   Don’t drink to much water either.”

Zone Group 2 & 4

Welcome!

Zone Group 2 & 4 Sim Racing Coordinators welcome you to our inaugural racing series! PCA Sim Racing has to this point been held in the context of National races, and the number of drivers competing has grown such that this is no longer viable. Having the racing take place at the Zone level, and eventually, the Region will facilitate everyone who would like to drive virtually with PCA.

We are very much looking forward to beginning this new chapter in PCA Sim Racing and sincerely hope that you will be an enthusiastic and regular participant as things get underway soon.
