PCA Sim Racing will introduce several new special activities in 2026 to complement our traditional iRacing league and special event schedule. These are designed as low‑pressure, flexible ways to drive, compete, and explore alternate sims together.

Why Special Activities?

We’ve had steady requests for options beyond our core iRacing series, including time trials, rallies, and open‑world style drives. Think of these 2026 special activities as pilots to gauge interest and learn what our community enjoys most.

Since everyone’s calendar is already packed, these activities will follow the spirit of our summertime Fast Lap events: you set your best times over a window of hours or days, whenever you can jump in, rather than at a fixed green‑flag time. No GridPass is required, there are no entry fees, and the focus is on flexibility, variety, and fun.

What To Expect

Our special activities will include formats such as:

  • Time trial challenges (solo hot‑lapping against a leaderboard over several days).
  • Rally‑style stage events (linked stages with cumulative times and light structure).
  • Open‑world touring drives in alternate sims, focused on shared experiences rather than results.

Activities

  • Are open to current PCA Sim Racing participants.
  • Use simple sign‑up and results submission via our website or Discord.
  • Emphasize accessibility: run when you have time, drive as much or as little as you like, and compare your results with other PCA drivers.

First Activity

North American Horizons Rally Championship (RBR / RSF)

Our first 2026 special activity is the North American Horizons Rally Championship, run in Richard Burns Rally using the RallySimFans (RSF) plugin. This asynchronous championship adapts real rally concepts to a flexible schedule that works across time zones.

At a high level:

  • Platform: Richard Burns Rally with the RSF plugin (PC only).
  • Format: Multi‑round rally championship using stage‑based events with cumulative timing.
  • Schedule: Each rally runs for multiple days; you can complete your stages at any time during the event window.
  • Difficulty: Realistic physics with sensible damage and assistance options, tuned for a mix of newer and experienced sim rally drivers
  • Cost: No GridPass required, no entry fee; you only need the sim and the required content.
  • Full details, including how to install RBR/RSF, register, car classes, schedule, and results process, are available on the North American Horizons Rally Championship page.

Suggestions?

We want these activities to reflect what PCA Sim Racing members actually want to drive.

If you have ideas for:

  • Alternate sims you’d like to see used.
  • Specific time trial tracks or rally themes.
  • Open‑world routes or “touring” concepts that would be fun with a group.

Please share your suggestions on Discord or via the contact form, and help shape the next wave of PCA Sim Racing special activities.
