Series Review
Series 3 kicked off on the heels of a successful Series 2 with a few notable changes: the Porsche 911 (991.2) GT3 Cup car running short track layouts across five renown North American tracks – Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (MoSport) (Ontario, Canada); Lime Rock Park (Lakeville, Connecticut); Circuit of the Americas (Austin, Texas); Watkins Glen International (Watkins Glen, New York); and Road Atlanta (Braselton, Georgia) – and introduction of multi-class classifications.
The wildly popular rear-engine GT racing car with no traction control or ABS rewarded Racers with finesse footwork and steering control, as they fought throughout the 60-minute races for stability and grip around corners. Furthermore, the short track layout required an even more intense focus for everyone as the field was expected to take Blue flags for the leaders more frequently than at typical races. Perhaps this would have been a recipe for disaster and crazy incidents, but our PCA Sim Racers were professionals and charged through the field while the Podium eSports live broadcast captured some of the most exciting wheel-to-wheel actions in e-motorsports.
Series 3 also introduced multi-class classifications of drivers, where the field was split into Pro/WC, Club, and Rookie classes. The composition of our PCA Sim Racers for the Series 3 allowed two (2) classifications: Club and Rookie, where racers in each class fought for positions against themselves for the championship titles.

The action-packed Series 3 came to a close at Race 5 in Road Atlanta, with Gresham Wagner (P1, First Settlers Region PCA) locking down the Championship title in the Club class, followed by John Koch (P2, Chicago Region PCA), and Leif Peterson (P3, Maverick Region PCA).
Jonathan Waltman (Santa Barbara Region PCA) took the Championship for the Rookie Class.
