The Zone Group Championship (ZGC) is PCA Sim Racing’s annual competition for the title of best Zone Group.

- All Main League Pro, Club, Sport, and Challenge drivers may participate.
- A Grid Pass is NOT required.

To provide a better balance of drivers than in the past, there will be three Zone Groups.

- Zones 3-5-10-12-13 (Central/Southeast)
- Zones 6-7-8-9-11-14 (West)

Tracks & Conditions
Zone Group Qualifiers
Each ZG selects a track from its geographical ZG and sets the in-sim date/TOD and weather conditions. No rain/wet track permitted.
Format: Solo Event
- 15-minute practice
- 10 minute/3 lap solo qualifier
- 60-minute race
- 60% fuel restriction to force a pit stop
- 25X disqualification
- Open setups
- 1 fast repair
- 4 concurrent sessions on a single night for each ZGQ. Pro, Club, Sport, Challenge each race against their own class in their own session.
Zone Group Championship
An international track and conditions are set by the Steering Committee. No rain/wet track permitted.

- 15-minute practice
- 10 minute/3 lap solo qualifier
- 2-hour race
- No fuel restriction
- 40X disqualification
- Open setups
- 2 fast repairs
- Tracks and conditions will be posted two weeks or more before each event to permit practicing.

Drivers & Teams
Drivers
- Driver Classes: Per Series 15.
- Qualifying Drivers: The top six drivers for each class for each ZG qualify to be on one of their ZG teams. (Number of drivers subject to adjustment based on ZGQ participation.)
- Back-up Drivers: Drivers not qualifying for a team are back-up drivers. Back-up drivers are members of all of a ZG’s teams. If a team member cannot make the final, they can be replaced by a backup driver of the same or lower class.
Teams
- Number of Teams: Each ZG to field six (6) four (4) driver teams for the ZGC. 18 total teams. (Number of teams subject to adjustment based on ZGQ participation. Final number of teams will be equal for each ZG.)
- Team Composition: Each team has one driver from each class. Each ZG determines the make-up of each ZG team from the pool of their qualifying drivers.
- Team Names: Determined by each ZG and/or team. Prefixes required (E), (C/SE), (W).
- Driver Share Requirement: Each driver must drive a minimum of 20% (+/- 2 laps) of their team’s laps, with the Pro driver laps not exceeding 25% (+/- 2 laps), or the team will be disqualified post race. Driver order is at the discretion of the team. Post-race review will be done to confirm conformance to establish official results.
- Team Liveries: Encouraged but not mandatory.
- Team Registration: Similar to Team Racing Series. Details will be posted in Discord.
Scoring
- Zone Group Qualifier Scoring: Same as Series 15. A driver’s combined score from their three ZGQ races is used to determine if they qualify for their ZG teams.
- Zone Group Championship Scoring: Same as Series 15. The combined score of all of a ZG’s teams are used to determine a ZG’s finishing position for the ZGC.
- Incident Points: iRacing incident points will be counted as deductions against each driver’s ZGQ score and each team’s ZGC score.
Rules
- 2026 Competition Rules & Guidelines (CRG).
- No live Race Control.
- No IRR process.
- Penalties: iRacing applies only. No penalties will be issued until the 25-point (ZGQ) or 40-point (ZGC) disqualification.
- Starts: Rolling starts for all classes and venues.
- iRacing Connection Quality: In effect.
