Series Overview
The 2026 PCA Sim Racing Team Racing Series (TRS) reached new heights over its five-race schedule. Teams battled each other around Daytona, Sebring, Watkins Glen, Road America, and Road Atlanta behind the wheel of their chosen champions — in the form of the Porsche 963 GTP and the Porsche 911 GT3 R — all for a shot at the gold in both Car Class and Team Category championships. Every team spent each hour of each race working on strategy, utilizing the strengths of each driver to their advantage.
To make this all happen, each team needed two declared drivers for each event, with one of the original duo committed to the team for the entire season in order to earn points for the team. Additionally, any new drivers could not be of a higher category — Pro, Club, Sport, Challenge — than either of the original two drivers, further emphasizing the need for strategy over the course of three hours per event. And of course, to participate at all, every driver in the 2026 Team Racing Series needed a PCA Sim Racing GridPass to get their foot in the door.
As for the cars themselves, teams could use whatever setup they needed to make the most of both their drivers’ skills and the abilities of either the 963 or 911 GT3 R on any given track. No tire limitations were in place for the series, allowing teams to switch to whatever compound worked best for the current track conditions, and one fast repair was given to each team to make everything as easy as possible. Finally, fuel levels were to 100% for the 963, and 80% for the 911 GT3 R, once again placing more emphasis on strategy in this endurance series.
