PCA Pro GT3 Cup Series Co-Manager
PCA Sim Racing is pleased to have several well-known professional Porsche Carrera racing teams participating in the 2022 PCA Pro GT3 Cup Racing Series. Let’s meet them now!
311RS Motorsports has joined the Pro GT3 Cup season with a dedicated sSports team – 311RS Motorsports. The team is a two-car program with Dimitri Dimakos and Porsche Junior Laurin Heinrich. Dimakos started his Porsche Cup racing with 3 wins at Road Atlanta in the 991 class and moved to the Pro Class for the 2022 season. Heinrich is known as a “hybrid-racer” – competing and winning in both Carrera Cup Deutschland and Porsche Mobil1 Supercup alongside his eSports career.
Hardpoint eSports has entered the Pro GT3 Cup season with a lineup of Chris Walsh and Cameron Martineau. They will compete with reserve driver, Jacob Tofts, in a two-car lineup for the 14-race series. Walsh, an active duty Air Force member, heads up the Hardpoint eSports team and began racing in 2019 and made his professional racing debut in 2021 in the SRO Motorsports competition, capturing a podium in his first race. Martineau won the Ricmotech CSS GS Open Championship in his first season and most recently won the 2021 Sim Lab Production Car Challenge Championship.
ACI Motorsports as field a 6-car effort for the Pro GT3 Cup season that includes team principal Curt Swearingin and drivers Grant Talkie, Richard Edge, and Pedro Torres, all competing in IMSA Carrera Cup NA in 2022. The team also includes PCA Sim stalwart and WRL driver Chris Paiz as well as Roberto Tutino who drives in the Porsche Sprint Challenge series in 2022.
Elliott Skeer will join the race series, representing Apoapsis Performance Solutions, his simulator-based coaching program. Elliott was the IMSA GT3 Cup Champion in 2015 and Team USA Scholarship Contestant in 2013.
Longtime sim racer Wyatt Gooden will join the series representing Eagles Canyon Racing. Wyatt is a pioneer in combining real-world driving and coaching expertise with simulation systems. He has raced in Volkswagen Jetta TDi Championship and was a finalist for the Team USA Scholarship, as well as being ranked the #1 Formula Ford driver in the USA.
Kelly Moss Road and Race driver Sean Varwig will join the Pro GT3 Cup. Sean races the #2 car in IMSA Carrera Cup NA in Pro class for 2022. Sean has raced in Mazda MX5 Cup previously and raced in PCA Club Race at Sebring earlier this year with his father David Varwig, a long-time PCA member and club racer.
Michael McCann will join the Pro GT3 Cup series representing McCann Racing Michael drives the #8 car in Carrera Cup North America in Pro class in 2022. He has previously raced in the TC America Series and the Pirelli GT4 America Spring series.
